You will function as an operational buyer, working with purchasing from A-Z.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>Description of tasks and responsibilities \t<\/h3>\n<p>The main task will be to create and follow up on purchase orders, including:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain safety, security and sustainability in procurement.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Plan the request based on business needs, collaboration, and a commercial mindset.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Search the market and select providers.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Create and send request.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate bids and conduct negotiations.<\/li>\n<li>Create and send purchase orders, as well as follow up on them<\/li>\n<li>Get order confirmation.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely delivery of materials and services.<\/li>\n<li>Manage changes and\/or deviations throughout the Plan to Pay process.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Other responsibilities:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain market knowledge.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with Supply Chain processes and requirements.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Understand the flow of materials and services through the supply chain from plan to payment.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Ensure professional services and communication towards both internal stakeholders and suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Take an active part in helping the customer improve purchasing activities with a view to increased efficiency and digitalization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Competence requirements\u00a0<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#039;s degree in Supply Chain Management or similar is an advantage, but not a requirement.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Supply Chain Management and purchasing.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>You are structured and thrive in a hectic work environment and collaborating with a variety of departments, suppliers and functions.<\/li>\n<li>You have a commercial mindset and will work to deliver cost-effective services to customers.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>MS-Office and SAP competence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is a 1-year assignment based in Stavanger, and the client wants to start soon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As a consultant at Vega Consultants, you will receive good conditions and consistent follow-up throughout the course of your assignment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If this sounds like something you would like to join, send us your CV today.
