{"id":21156,"date":"2024-07-31T23:12:39","date_gmt":"2024-07-31T21:12:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vegaconsultants.no\/jobbsoker\/ledige-stillinger\/senior-project-cost-engineer-3003580\/"},"modified":"2024-07-31T23:12:39","modified_gmt":"2024-07-31T21:12:39","slug":"senior-project-cost-engineer-3003580","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/vegaconsultants.no\/en\/jobbsoker\/ledige-stillinger\/senior-project-cost-engineer-3003580\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Project Cost Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class='vacancy-detail'>\n<div class='bold'>Vega Consultants AS<\/div>\n<div class='bold'>Senior Project Cost Engineer<\/div>\n<div class='vacancy-body'>\n<h3>Introduction<\/h3>\n<p>On behalf of our client in the oil and gas industry, we are looking for a Senior Cost Engineer to be responsible for all cost engineering deliverables for a particular project or portfolio of projects<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>Typical tasks will include:\u00a0<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Be responsible for internal and external project cost status reporting\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Accurate and consistent cost tracking\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for managing accruals, forecast, cash flow input, invoice handling, preparation of requisitions\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Deliver variance explanations to the Finance department.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Handle project changes with cost impact (management of Change).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Identify, analyze, and track cost changes versus sanctioned budgets.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Develop and manage contingency drawdown plan\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and follow-up on Manpower Projection Plans and man-hour cost estimates.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Correlate cost data with other project controls data (schedules, manpower, productivity etc)<\/li>\n<li>Investigate variances, prepare analysis, highlight inconsistencies and propose mitigating actions\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Provide general Project Management support\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>Qualifications required<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#039;s or Master&#039;s degree in Economics, Engineering or similar. Experience may compensate for lack of formal education.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years&#039; experience with cost control of large oil and gas projects is required. Candidates without this experience will not be evaluated.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Fluent English and Norwegian language, verbal and written<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of project control tools, such as SAP, EcoSys, PowerBI, and Pims<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Candidates must also be eligible for work in Norway. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This is a long contract of 2 years, and our client would like the candidate to start in August.
