{"id":21430,"date":"2024-12-03T08:12:55","date_gmt":"2024-12-03T07:12:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vegaconsultants.no\/jobbsoker\/ledige-stillinger\/senior-telecom-engineer-3003896\/"},"modified":"2024-12-03T08:12:55","modified_gmt":"2024-12-03T07:12:55","slug":"senior-telecom-engineer-3003896","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/vegaconsultants.no\/en\/jobbsoker\/ledige-stillinger\/senior-telecom-engineer-3003896\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Telecom Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class='vacancy-detail'>\n<div class='bold'>Vega Consultants AS<\/div>\n<div class='bold'>Senior Telecom Engineer<\/div>\n<div class='vacancy-body'>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Title<\/strong>: Senior Telecom Engineer<\/li>\n<li><strong>Location<\/strong>: Oslo<\/li>\n<li><strong>Duration<\/strong>: 03.02.25 \u2013 31.12.26<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>Introduction<\/h3>\n<p>We are looking for an experienced Telecom Engineer to work with detail engineering in a large offshore greenfield\/brownfield project within the telecom discipline.<\/p>\n<p>The right candidate will join a major project and will have the opportunity to develop his\/her technical skills within telecommunication systems design and personal skills in a large international project-working environment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Typical tasks<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Define and develop Telecom philosophy, and design solutions for Telecom subsystems including remote operations, maintenance, monitoring, and new technologies.<\/li>\n<li>Follow up telecom vendors and vendors technical documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other installations, and clients.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and complete engineering documents and data registers.<\/li>\n<li>Participate and contribute to relevant test activities<\/li>\n<li>Define engineering documents.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Site support to fabrication yard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Required qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Master, or Bachelor degree or relevant technical education. Long relevant practical experience may outweigh and compensate for a lack of formal education.<\/li>\n<li>EX course (max 5 years old)<\/li>\n<li>FSE course<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 6 years&#039; experience from Telecom engineering and telecom system design activities within greenfield oil and gas projects on the Norwegian continental shelf. Experience from Norwegian projects is a requirement.<\/li>\n<li>Experience and deep knowledge of telecom design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL and IEC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>Desired personal characteristics<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Efficient communicator, who communicates well in English.<\/li>\n<li>Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment<\/li>\n<li>A natural team player, but possess the ability to work independently<\/li>\n<li>Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements<\/li>\n<li>Proactive, seeking advice and sharing own experiences with others<\/li>\n<li>Innovative approach, eager to improve methodology and solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to understand and implement requirements stated in new standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This is a 2-year contract, and our client would like the successful candidate to start in February 2025.
