This position is a great opportunity for candidates who are early in their career and eager to develop within the discipline of Cost Engineering.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>We are looking for candidates who:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a relevant educational background (eg finance, economics, or similar)<\/li>\n<li>Are motivated to grow within the field of project controls \/ cost engineering<\/li>\n<li>Are structured, analytical, and have a proactive attitude<\/li>\n<li>Have good communication skills and enjoy working in a team setting<\/li>\n<li>Are comfortable using Excel and willing to learn company-specific tools and systems<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience with cost control, project work, or large organizations is an advantage, but not a requirement.<\/li>\n<li>This is a good opportunity for candidates who are eager to learn, contribute from day one, and develop into more senior roles over time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee internal and external project cost status reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate and consistent cost tracking.<\/li>\n<li>Manage accruals, forecasts, cash flow inputs, invoice handling, and preparation of requisitions.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver variance explanations to the Finance department.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).<\/li>\n<li>Handle project changes with cost impact (management of Change).<\/li>\n<li>Identify, analyze, and track cost changes versus sanctioned budgets.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and manage contingency drawdown plans.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and follow-up on Manpower Projection Plans and man-hour cost estimates.<\/li>\n<li>Correlate cost data with other project data (schedules, manpower, productivity, etc.), investigate variances, prepare analysis, highlight inconsistencies, and propose mitigating actions.<\/li>\n<li>Provide general Project Management support.<\/li>\n<li>Utilize tools such as SAP, EcoSys, PowerBI, and Pims.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For more information about his role, please contact Grethe Borg 905 21 929<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class='vega-button'><span><a href='https:\/\/secure.webtemp.no\/WebtempCVPortal\/startsession.aspx?page=stillingsingle&amp;k=169&amp;id_utleie=3004230'>More info\/search here<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<h4>REFNR<\/h4>\n<p>403113<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<h4>POSITION TYPE<\/h4>\n<p>Full-time<br \/>Project<\/div>\n<div>\n<h4>APPLICATION DEADLINE<\/h4>\n<p>asap<\/p><\/div>\n<div class='vacancy-consultant'>\n<h4>CONTACT PERSON(S)<\/h4>\n<div>Grethe Borg<\/div>\n<div>90 52 19 29<\/div>\n<div>grethe.borg@vegaconsultants.no<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vega Consultants AS Project Cost Engineer Description: Our client are looking for a Project Cost Engineer to join our team and support the management of our ongoing projects.
