This is a full-time, permanent role offering responsibility and development opportunities for the right candidate.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>A Unique Opportunity to Make an Impact<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>At JAPEX Norway, you will:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with senior leadership, support in providing accurate financial information to support business decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes, cash flow management, and compliance activities.<\/li>\n<li>Be involved in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.<\/li>\n<li>Support audits, tax reporting, and internal control processes while ensuring high standards of accuracy and compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Grow professionally in a fast-moving, multicultural organization that values quality work, accountability, and personal initiative.<\/li>\n<li>Experience true ownership in a small, collaborative team where your contributions matter every day.<\/li>\n<li>Be part of building a new, ambitious E&amp;P company backed by a global parent with long-term commitment to Norway.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Responsibilities &amp; Deliverables <\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Control accounting and reconciliation of balance sheet and profit and loss items\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Follow-up of costs related to exploration, development and operation\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Accounting treatment of license interests and joint venture activities\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Check cash calls and joint interest billing against accounts and budget<\/li>\n<li>Follow up the Account Payable function<\/li>\n<li>Statistics Sweden<\/li>\n<li>Be involved in the monthly closing activities\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Be involved in Oil Accounting activities (Production, O\/U lift, DD&amp;A)<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of monthly management accounts<\/li>\n<li>Be involved in annual accounts\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Be involved in reporting to Head Quarter in Tokyo<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to budgeting and forecasting\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with IFRS\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Close communication with external accounting company, auditor and in-house resources<\/li>\n<li>Other \/Ad-hoc\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Competency Requirement \t<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Higher education in accounting, finance or auditing\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Experience from the petroleum sector<\/li>\n<li>Experience with accounting systems is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with IFRS<\/li>\n<li>Strong Excel skills\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Other Skills Needed<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>High degree of accuracy and structure\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Good collaboration skills<\/li>\n<li>Proactive service minded\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>JAPEX Norway AS<\/h3>\n<p>About us<\/p>\n<p>JAPEX Norge is a full-cycle E&amp;P Company with strong growth ambitions, actively pursuing value-accretive M&amp;A opportunities and high-grade exploration.
