{"id":24884,"date":"2026-08-31T11:12:32","date_gmt":"2026-08-31T09:12:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vegaconsultants.no\/jobbsoker\/ledige-stillinger\/senior-mechanical-engineer-3004745\/"},"modified":"2026-08-31T11:12:32","modified_gmt":"2026-08-31T09:12:32","slug":"senior-mechanical-engineer-3004745","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/vegaconsultants.no\/en\/jobbsoker\/ledige-stillinger\/senior-mechanical-engineer-3004745\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Mechanical Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"vacancy-detail\">\n<div class=\"bold\">Vega Consultants AS<\/div>\n<div class=\"bold\">Senior Mechanical Engineer<\/div>\n<div class=\"vacancy-body\">\n<p><strong><em>We are now seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer consultant for an exciting role at an operating company.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Job duties:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical support to the operating organization both at the shipyard and when the installation is offshore.<\/li>\n<li>Handover and takeover for operation \u2013 ensure that documentation, spare parts, maintenance documents and technical clarifications are in place before takeover.<\/li>\n<li>Shipyard follow-up \u2013 participate in technical reviews and inspections at shipyards as needed, including verification of installed equipment and clarification with suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance and inspection program \u2013 ensure that the necessary maintenance and inspection program is established and adapted to the project.<\/li>\n<li>Handling of technical deviations and punch.<\/li>\n<li>Interdisciplinary coordination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#039;s or Master&#039;s degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in oil and gas.<\/li>\n<li>Good experience with static mechanical equipment offshore.<\/li>\n<li>Experience from commissioning, handover, start-up or operational support.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of technical integrity and mechanical systems.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with technical deviations, punch and completion processes.<\/li>\n<li>Good oral and written presentation skills in both Norwegian and English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Work location: Main base in Stavanger. Presence in Stord when needed until departure of installation.
