Cad designer

On behalf of our client in the oil and gas industry, we are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join their team.

As a CAD Designer, you will create accurate and detailed technical drawings and designs for your project. Your primary focus will be on lift rigging sketches, seafastening drawings, fabrication drawings, deck layouts, quay layouts, and storyboards. The role is comprised of the following tasks and responsibilities: 

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Develop lift rigging sketches in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Create seafastening drawings to ensure safe transportation and installation.
• Generate fabrication drawings for various components and structures.
• Design accurate deck layouts that ensure optimal functionality and adherence to project requirements.
• Prepare quay layouts.
• Develop storyboards that depict key operations such as structure lifts, installation of flexible products, tie-ins of subsea lines operations, platform riser pull-ins, and mooring operations.
• Review and modify existing drawings as necessary, incorporating design changes, engineering calculations, and feedback from project teams.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications.

Ideally, you will have the following qualifications and experience: 

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a CAD Designer in the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in CAD softwares AutoCAD/3D Civil and Inventor
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations pertaining to offshore operations and structures.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify and resolve design issues.
• Good time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling and visualization tools is a plus.

This is a 1-year contract, and our client would like to right candidate to start as soon as possible.
