On behalf of our client, we are looking for a GDPR Consultant to work on GDPR compliance within procurement activities. The right to privacy is a fundamental human right, and the General Data Protection Regulations aims to coordinate the European legal framework in terms of personal data protection across all EEA Member States. Our client is subject to this regulation and needs to ensure compliance when processing personal data and when vendors do so on the client’s behalf.

The Privacy Team provides support and expert legal advice to Compliance Risk Owners (i.e., Procurement Task Leads who are responsible for contracts throughout their legal duration). GDPR expertise is particularly necessary. 

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Support the procurement team and relevant business lines with necessary expertise in legal compliance and GDPR requirements related to procurement activities 
  • Collaborate with Legal & Compliance and Technology, Digital & Innovation teams, in advising SCM staff and Data Protection Officers on how to facilitate lean work processes
  • Facilitate awareness campaign for contract teams, operational procurement, and relevant business lines in collaboration with legal department 
  • Complete relevant compliance task, such as drafting transfer impact assessments and data processing agreements. 
  • Support the procurement team and business line with contracts being compliant with GDPR issues, hereunder suppliers processing personal data on client’s behalf 
  • Produce and promote awareness material in collaboration with legal team, such as knowledge article, templates, illustration of relevant compliance processes. 

Desired qualifications

  • Preferably Master of law or similar
  • Experience with legal supply chain management in the oil and gas sector
  • Fluent in English
  • You are a good communicator, and able to combine legal requirements with a practical day-to-day work for procurement personnel and requisitioners and contract owners. 
  • You are able to handle multiple cases at the same time, and have a service-minded approach. 
  • You show personal integrity and are a self-driven team player

This is a 1-year contract based in Oslo, Stavanger or Bergen, and our client would like the candidate to start in May 2024. As a consultant with us, you will receive competitive benefits and regular follow-up throughout your assignment.
