Senior Maintenance Engineer

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client in the oil and gas industry. In this role, you’ll play an important role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and longevity of operations. You will also be collaborating with other disciplines to ensure seamless operations. 

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities: 

• Establishment of Maintenance Programs: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of maintenance strategies to develop, implement, and refine comprehensive maintenance programs. Your expertise will drive efforts to enhance equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and increase overall efficiency.
• Plan, schedule and track maintenance activities: Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), specifically SAP, to meticulously plan, schedule, and track maintenance activities. Optimize resource allocation and streamlining maintenance processes.
• Tag Hierarchy Development: Employ your skills in creating and maintaining a well-organized tag hierarchy system. Your ability to structure and categorize equipment tags will facilitate efficient data management and retrieval, contributing to accurate maintenance records.
• Consequence Classification Development: Apply your understanding of risk assessment and consequence analysis to develop robust consequence classification frameworks. Your insights will aid in prioritizing maintenance tasks based on potential impact, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
• Verification/Update TAG: Regularly verify and update equipment tags, ensuring that the maintenance database remains up-to-date, enabling precise tracking of equipment status and maintenance history.
• Support to Engineering Disciplines: Collaborate closely with various engineering disciplines within Operability Assurance and Maintenance Engineering. Provide valuable input to ensure compatibility of maintenance programs with broader engineering objectives.

Desired qualifications

Ideally, you will have the following qualifications and experience: 

• A relevant higher education (BSc, MSc or PhD)
• Previous experience with Maintenance Engineering from Topside Greenfield and Brownfield projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf
• Good multidiscipline knowledge
• Skilled in using SAP and PIMS
• Experience using IFS is an advantage
• Fluency in English is required, fluency in Norwegian preferred

This is a 1-year contract based in Stavanger, and our client would like the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.
