Commissioning Engineer F&G Systems

The Commissioning Engineer F&G Systems is a part of a Commissioning Team and reports functionally to the Commissioning System Lead SAS. Purpose of the position is to plan, prepare and deliver required strategy, procedures and documentation needed to carry out FFA Commissioning activities on the project’s Fire & Gas Systems.

Position Purpose

• Participate in ensuring completions and commissioning requirements of all Company’s projects is carried out safely, efficiently by FFA and ensure they meet all Company’s project and operational requirements, including verification and assurance.
• Responsible for implementing the commissioning certification and handover process according to the Project Completion Strategy.
• Accountable for ensuring the safe and efficient handover of plant and equipment to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and direction to relevant disciplines ensuring that a high level of focus is maintained on health, safety, and the environment to achieve Company’s expectations.
• Provision of commissioning support to project as required including ensure sufficient manning according to project needs.
• When required act as the site Commissioning Authority during the commissioning phases

Key Responsibilities

As part of the project’s Commissioning SAS Team, the Commissioning Engineer F&G Systems is responsible for:

• Contribute to the preparation of project forecasts, schedules, costs estimate associated with the commissioning scope for relevant F&G deliverables
• Contribute and advice related to Fire & Gas testing and verification input to overall Completion strategy and planning. Ensuring compliance to Company’s additional requirements and relevant performance standards
• Manage relevant contractors and other resources providing services and supplying materials or equipment for Fire & Gas System Commissioning.

In cooperation with relevant disciplines and package teams, provide relevant knowledge and participation related to:

• Witness contractor/supplier tests as necessary (FAT/SAT)
• Follow Up field installation ensuring correct quality and scheduled installation according to Commissioning schedule
• Develop, review, and implement F&G commissioning procedures.
• Implement the commissioning scope on site and Offshore
• Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operations.
• At site(s) and Offshore, Lead and coordinate the Commissioning test-team in connection with dynamic commissioning
• Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews when necessary

Qualification requirements

• BSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
• Experience from Fields’s operations is of great benefit.
• Documented Ex competence with valid classroom courses

Location: This position is fully mobile with base location onshore office Stord. Position to mobilize offshore when required.
