Key role within Alliances with significant responsibility to ensure consistency and quality and visualize value within the Alliances project cost estimates / Most Likely Costs (MLCs) and overall Alliance performance.
Role description:
In the role as Alliance cost controller you will be accountable for ensuring consistency and quality of cost estimates, modelling MLCs, alignment with actual costs reporting and incentives determination under each individual MLC agreement.
Main responsibilities and tasks:
- Coordinate and actively collaborate with Alliance partners to establish consistent cost estimates and MLCs and ensure correct level of contingency is promoted.
- Timely establish MLC, support the Commercial Lead, Supply Chain, lead engineers and the Alliance partners to set up the MLC Agreement and submit it for approval to the Alliance management team.
- Update cost estimates and MLCs according to change of scope in close collaboration with lead engineers and Alliance partners.
- Determine final actual costs, MLC-comparable costs and individual incentives.
- Ensure a close collaboration with finance and cost controllers at any time of the process, with a particular attention to the consistency of cost reporting, development of procedures or systems allowing for integrated cost management.
- Promote use of cost data for concrete improvements.
- Commercial stakeholder management
- Analyse actual costs evolution in time to assess Alliance value and competitiveness.
- Prepare necessary reporting and analysis including MLC reporting, portfolio reporting, inputs for Alliance steering committee meetings, etc.
- Drive improvements within the estimating area and support ongoing digitalization and flow efficiency initiatives for cost estimates and MLCs, among others through digitalisation.
- Collaborate to the development of visualisation tools for data analysis and Alliance incentive tracking.
- Active contribute to a planned pilot within Drilling & Wells in order to test a potential integration between MLC and cost management approach
Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree
- Minimum 5 years with relevant experience within cost controls or similar, preferably within drilling and well
- Good knowledge to MS Excel and SAP
- Language; English and Norwegian
