Introduction
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Procurement & Inventory Professional to manage drilling & well inventory at their warehouse.
The main purpose of this position is to maintain an overview of inventory and provide day-to-day support on matters relating to proactive Inventory management and inventory optimisation (D&W). Important tasks are to:
- Work according to and contribute to development of material management procedures/processes
- Manage Inventory clean-up efforts and counting schedules
- Perform optimization of stock items
- Accountable for all inventory counts are established and carried out for all AkerBP inventory at all warehouse locations
- Contribute to identifying and execution of Disposals (sale, donation or scrap of equipment)
- Develop and work with all inventory for Drilling & Wells, including 3rd party vendors
- Proactively identify process gaps and decide best action to close gaps.
- Warehouse count reconciliation, including transactions
- Ensure new established lean processes to reflect Inventory Management and improve flow efficiency through new digitalization initiatives
Qualifications:
- Academic background in SCM/Logistics/Inventory Management or Engineering is advantageous. Experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
- Experience from material management, inventory management or other relevant SCM/business roles is advantegous.
- Experience with SAP or other comparable ERP systems
- Strong skills in using Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Knowledge of D&W/Subsea equipment is preferred.

- Excellent organizational, planning and reporting skills
- Ability to work creatively, turn plans into reality in a demanding environment
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to deliver results with minimum direction and supervision.
- Experience in working across disciplines and cross-functional teams
- Fluent English is required, fluent Norwegian is advantageous.
- Good presentation skills and facilitation skills.
