Introduction

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Contract Manager/Procurement Specialist to be responsible for procurement activities related to mobile drilling rigs. 

You will be responsible for establishing and managing agreements, and you’ll hold the mandate to legally commit the Company to suppliers. You will be responsible for a wide range og tasks, including: 

• Manage and follow-up contracts and frame agreements, including handling variation orders, amendments, option assessments, negotiations etc. 
• Contribute to ensure agreement understanding and compliance (training of contract users) 
• Safeguard correct use of the contract 
• Collaboration with internal partner/customers 
• Collaboration with suppliers and internal partners, including drilling & well business line 
• Continuous improvement initiatives 
• Together with Corporate Services, ensure the best commercial agreements by setting and realizing strategic directions and capitalizing on market opportunities. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

Lead Contract Establishment

• Lead enquiry processes (strategy, enquiry, evaluation, negotiation) 
• Implement and operationalize new agreements, framework agreements, project specific contracts and call offs 

Manage agreement

• Shape the future global contract portfolio through segment strategies together with business line and suppliers 
• Identify business cases and drive change in contract relationship to maximize value for company 
• Ensure contract compliance, identify, and manage risks 
• Stakeholder management together with Company Representative (CR) and Contract Owner (CO) 

Required qualifications

• Bachelor/Master degree in supply chain management, finance, economics or law. 
• Minimum 15 years’ experience with relevant contracting work. 
• Good communication skills in English and/or Norwegian. 
• You have strong business acumen within the oil and gas sector. 
• You take an interest in the commercial aspects of contract agreements, and are cost-conscious. 
• You have a high level of professional- and personal integrity 

This is a 1-year contract based in Stavanger or Bergen, with possibilities for extension, and our client would like the successful candidate to start in May 2025.
