Senior Electrical Engineer

Introduction

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support future projects. 

Tasks & responsibilities

Your tasks will include, but not limited to:

• Design and specify solutions for electrical systems and equipments in FEED and EPC oil and gas Projects.
• Prepare, modify, and review Electrical Design Criteria, and Electrical System philosophy documents like heat tracing philosophy, earthing and bonding philosophy, power distribution and control philosophy, normal and emergency lighting design philosophy, startup/shutdown philosophy etc.  
• Prepare, modify, and review electrical drawings like single line drawings, Block drawings, Layout drawings, and schedule like electrical load list, electrical cable schedule, electrical MTO list etc.
• Prepare technical specifications, data sheets and tender documentation of Electrical Equipment’s including but not limited to UPS, SWBD’s/DB’s, Distribution XTRF’s, Electrical Motor’s, and packaged equipments. 
• Design and Sizing of electrical systems and equipment.
• Co-ordination with suppliers and review of documents and drawings.

 Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor or Master of degree in electrical power engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience, especially in FEED, study projects of Top-side modifications for Offshore oil and gas platforms.
• Project experience from electrical package follow up and area design.
• Experience within electrical system and equipment design at LV & MV distribution level.
• Experience from Brownfield oil and gas projects of Top-side modifications.
• Proficient in using the electrical calculations tools like Febdok, TraceCalc, DiaLux.
• Multi-disciplinary Engineering understanding of FEED/EPC offshore oil and gas projects.
• Good knowledge of rules/regulations, standards of NORSOK E-001, IEC 61892, IECx 60079.
• Fluent English is required, fluent Norwegian is advantageous. 
• Must have valid FSE and Ex courses. 
• Ability to handle high workloads.
• Candidate must hold a valid Offshore certificate for required offshore surveys. 
• Candidate must be eligible for work in Norway.   

This is a contract position lasting until the end of 2025, and our client would like the right candidate to start ASAP.
