Drilling and well engineer / supervisor in digital implementation and improvement

Description of the department: PDP D&W is responsible for planning and executing drilling and well operations on the Norwegian continental shelf. Our offshore personnel work in different ways than before, with handheld ex devices in the field and access to software and apps that add value. You will be part of a Drilling and Well concept team that drives this development with active hands-on training and improvement.

Work location: Stavanger or Bergen

The candidate's tasks may include: (but not limited to): 

• Coach and ambassador for the use of handheld devices and new ways of working both offshore and onshore. 
• Participate in weekly meetings across the company's business areas, as well as collaborate and drive the concept together with the other business areas. 
• Collaborate closely with drilling and well stakeholders, drilling contractors and main service providers to contribute to the development of the concept 
• Follow up on new orders, ensure quality in deliveries of units and ensure compliance with internal and/or external requirements. 
• Help with testing new software. 
• Travel offshore for personnel and equipment training

Competence Requirements:

• Master or Bachelor, but relevant experience can compensate for this. 
• Valid Offshore Safety Course during the assignment period. 
• Valid health certificate during the assignment period. 
• Compliance with internal and external requirements. 
• Thorough understanding of the Office365 package and how to properly share information according to guidelines. 
• Good understanding of technology, both in drilling and IT. 
• Good understanding of who works in an operational drilling operation and how a One team operates. 

Personal qualities:

• Good communication skills, likes to present and be patient. 
• Flexible and willing to change when it comes to travel plans and travel. 
• Curious about new technology and an ability to talk to stakeholders internally and externally. 
• Ability to see the value of new technology on mobile ex devices in a broad organization with many stakeholders. 
• Be a role model for safety
