Occupational hygienist

We are now looking for an Occupational Hygienist Consultant for an exciting role. The department you will be part of is responsible for planning and implementing detailed surveys and risk assessments related to chemical, physical (such as noise) and biological work environment factors. We also contribute to more general HAM risk management work, and assist the risk owner with support and advice related to occupational hygiene issues, measures to reduce exposure, etc. 

Main tasks

• Plan, conduct and report results from detailed risk assessments of chemical, physical and biological work environment factors, including occupational hygiene measurements to document levels of chemical exposure in the work atmosphere 
• Interpret the results and suggest necessary actions for the line 
• Ensure that the results of detailed risk assessments are stored and documented according to the guidelines, in given IT tools 
• Correct and clear communication of risk, tailored to the recipient 
• Some travel activity to onshore and offshore facilities must be expected. 

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a practicing occupational hygienist within industry, preferably through work in an external BHT scheme 
• Knowledge of and experience in the use of NS-EN-689, including planning, conducting, interpreting and reporting occupational hygiene measurements 
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in HSE, chemistry, biology, occupational hygiene, or other relevant technology subjects. 
• Good collaboration and communication skills 
• Experience from the offshore industry is highly desirable, including valid safety course 
• Certification as an occupational hygienist is an advantage

Contract period: 05.01.2026-14.01.2027, option period 1×12 months
