Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are now seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer consultant for an exciting role at an operating company. 

Job duties:

• Technical support to the operating organization both at the shipyard and when the installation is offshore.
• Handover and takeover for operation – ensure that documentation, spare parts, maintenance documents and technical clarifications are in place before takeover.
• Shipyard follow-up – participate in technical reviews and inspections at shipyards as needed, including verification of installed equipment and clarification with suppliers.
• Maintenance and inspection program – ensure that the necessary maintenance and inspection program is established and adapted to the project.
• Handling of technical deviations and punch.
• Interdisciplinary coordination.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in oil and gas.
• Good experience with static mechanical equipment offshore.
• Experience from commissioning, handover, start-up or operational support.
• Good understanding of technical integrity and mechanical systems.
• Experience with technical deviations, punch and completion processes.
• Good oral and written presentation skills in both Norwegian and English.

Work location: Main base in Stavanger. Presence in Stord when needed until departure of installation. Estimated 2 weeks per month.
