Database

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Database Administrator to take responsibility for our public cloud environments. You will be a key person in the further development of our SaaS platform, and will be responsible for ensuring high performance, availability, stability, scalability and security.

Your tasks will be:

• Operate and optimize database clusters.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and availability.
• Establish backup and recovery strategies.
• Collaborate on schema design and indexing.
• Ensure data security and access control.
• Automate deploy and operational processes.
• Set up dashboards and KPIs.
• Lead troubleshooting of incidents.

We are looking for you as:

• Have 3-7+ years of experience as a DBA.
• Have knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of replication, sharding, failover, and high availability.  
• Is proactive, structured and collaborative.
• Has the ability to work independently and take responsibility.
• Is analytical and solution-oriented.
• Speaks and writes English and Norwegian

It's also great if you have:

• Experience with SaaS and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps.
• Knowledge of IaC tools is considered a bonus. (Terraform, etc.). 
• Willingness to learn can compensate for experience.
