EIT Field Engineer

Monitor contractors’ performance and make sure that EIT installation work is safely carried out in accordance with specifications and regulations in the contract. Provide EIT experience to the site team and support Contractor EIT disciplines during planning, construction, and completion of the project scope of work.

Main tasks:

• Be an HSSE ambassador and proactively strive for good HSSE and quality performance throughout the work.
• Participate in tool-box meetings and safety meetings.
• Monitor and attend Mechanical Completion activities.
• Review and comment on site specific procedures related to EIT disciplines.
• Participate in Constructability and Schedule Reviews and seek construction friendly solutions.
• Contribute in goods receiving control and preservation control.
• Assist contractor/ vendor to make EIT mock-ups.
• Assist contractor/ vendor to arrange inhouse trainings.
• Assist Contractor in resolving technical problems during the execution of building- or installation work at a construction site.
• Liaise with FFA discipline engineers as required.
• Liaise with QC Lead and EIT QC inspectors and ensure the SRU and TEG Modules are constructed as per project design and Company Requirements.
• Participate on EIT ITP and witness checkpoints on behalf of Company.
• Contribute to interface up against relevant disciplines.
• Weekly reporting to FE Lead on ongoing activities.
• Contribute to Lessons Learned, experience transfer and Close Out Report.
• This position is fully mobile with base location Stord. Some travel and offshore can be expected.

Qualifications:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines.
• Relevant experience from similar positions in other oil & gas projects may make up for formal education.
• Theoretical and practical knowledge and experience with Norsok and IEC design and Fabrication for EIT.
• Knowledge of applicable project documents, standards, and specifications.
• Knowledge of Atex regulations, checklists, certificates, and registers.
• Proficient in MS Office, experience in the use of PIMS is an advantage.
• Experience from work with Norwegian Oil & Gas projects is preferred.
