HVAC Field Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Follow-up on HVAC equipment delivered to the manufacturing location. 
  • Follow up with contractor(s) to ensure that deliveries align with the scope of work, budget, and schedule. Provide contractor(s) with input, clarifications, and maintain contact as needed. 

 Follow-up on preparations for and execution of: 

  • Installation and removal of temporary HVAC systems. 
  • Installation of permanent new HVAC systems. 
  • Modification of existing HVAC systems. 
  • Support and follow up with the contractor regarding construction issues. 
  • Ensure necessary dialogue with interface disciplines and contribute to problem-solving. 
  • Participate in the development of commissioning procedures for HVAC systems. 
  • Testing and commissioning of temporary, new, and modified HVAC systems. 
  • Check installed equipment, follow up on punch lists, and system handover to Commissioning and operations. 

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in HVAC or process technology. Extensive experience in the HVAC field in oil and gas projects can compensate lack of formal education 
  • Experience from similar positions. 
  • High focus on HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment). 
  • Experienced in using ProCoSys, Fusion, STID, and Microsoft Office. 
  • Good communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken. 
  • Loyal, reliable, responsible, and independent. 
  • EITA – Discipline Professional Requirements, multidisciplinary understanding. 

Contract period: 01.09.2025-30.12.2026

Work location: Weekly commuting to Hammerfest, with the possibility of 15-20 weeks when the volume of installation and testing begins in Hammerfest (Summer/Fall 2026). Sporadic trips to Haugesund (job preparation) / Asker (Engineering). So far, we have stated that 3-4 weeks in Hammerfest and 1 week working from home is acceptable.
