Introduction
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Project Completion Engineer (High Voltage) for a large oil and gas project. Here you will be responsible for preparation of schedule input, cost input, and commissioning (preparation, planning, execution). You will also act as Leader for Safety (FSE) in connection with work on and in close proximity to HV apparatus.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain safe working routines during execution of construction and commissioning to ensure that all work performed is made in full compliance with safety regulation and objectives.
- Review contractors’ installation procedures for Electrical apparatus.
- Participate during establishment of contractors commissioning team to perform commissioning on the electrical systems.
- Responsible for reviewing and creating commissioning procedures on dedicated systems.
- Issue and maintain commissioning boundary documentation for efficient construction and commissioning schedules.
- Ensure sufficient training and development of personnel within the commissioning organisation related to electrical installations.
- Ensure contractor’s personnel have the necessary training and certifications for working with or near HV apparatus.
- Participate in MC verification of equipment and packages in order to obtain Ready for Commissioning status.
- Follow up punch work in the field and punch list documentation and clearance.
- Ensure that drawings/documents are marked up with changes identified during commissioning and that as-built documentation is updated accordingly by responsible contractor.
- Identify and follow up risks and opportunities related to construction and commissioning.
- Assessment of provisions for commissioning in design.
- Ensure and maintain a close and good relationship to contractor and operation.
- Responsible for handover of the facility to Operation by issuing RFOC (Ready for Operation Certificates).
- Participating in development of strategies, budget, plans/schedules, procedures, routines, ATS requirements, FAT, UFAT, RISK and work processes for commissioning.
- Recommend Commissioning SPIR
- Participate in relevant engineering and construction meetings to ensure commissioning task execution.
You will work close with Project Support, Engineering, Construction disciplines and the commissioning contractor.
Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent in electrical engineering
- Experience from oil and gas projects on the NCS is necessary, experience working with HV equipment is advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of FEF & FSE
- You are good at stakeholder management, and can easily cooperate with a range of people, teams and third parties.
- You prioritise safety above all else and are committed to creating a safe work environment.
- Ability to drive activities to be complete on schedule.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in Norway.
This is a 2-year contract based in Oslo, with some travel required. Desired start-date is August.
