Subsea Controls Engineer

On behalf of our client we are seeking a skilled Subsea Controls Engineer for technical integrity and maintenance support in Bergen. As part of the Subsea Operational Support team, you will play an important role in ensuring the reliability and performance of subsea systems for the company.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Deliver operational support and technical maintenance for subsea control systems across multiple assets. 
  • Act as the discipline contact for assigned assets, providing guidance and solutions to ensure safe and efficient operations. 
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including subsea structures, manifolds, valves, process, automation and asset contacts. 
  • Participate in integrity assessments, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives for subsea equipment within subsea controls. 

Deliverables 

  • Timely and high-quality operational support and maintenance tasks for subsea control systems. 
  • Technical recommendations and solutions for equipment reliability and integrity issues. 
  • Effective communication and coordination with asset organizations. 
  • Participation in root cause analysis, system upgrades, and technology improvements. 

Preferred Competences 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (preferably subsea, automation, electrical, or instrumentation). 
  • Experience in subsea control systems and subsea umbilical. Experience within operations, technical integrity and maintenance tasks. 
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and communication abilities. 
  • Experience with operational support for subsea assets and familiarity with offshore industry standards. 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Norwegian language skills are beneficial.
