We are looking for a technical manager to work offshore for one of our clients.

About the position:

Technical Manager (TSL) Normal working hours 7am-7pm, offshore. 

  • Is responsible for tasks for ELE, AUT, and mechanical. 
  • TSL will follow up on V&M and ISO contractors and suppliers as well as maintenance plans and maintenance management systems. 
  • Follow up on progress on FV, KV, modifications, V&M and ISO contractors. 
  • Coordinate and facilitate the efficient completion of maintenance according to the AO plan. Point out quality deviations and ensure that quality deviations are created.
  • Follow up on staffing levels in accordance with the approved AO plan.
  • Implementation of production and safety-critical maintenance. Minimize backlog. 
  • Physically participate in maintenance work on the installation, and maintain relevant expertise for this.
  • Perform other work within their area as assigned by the OIM (offshore installation manager). 
  • Contribute to ensuring that all technical equipment is in proper condition and maintained in accordance with the maintenance plan and management system. 
  • System responsibility for technical systems
  • Maintenance and repair of machinery, VOC systems, and other technical equipment on board.
  • The Technical Manager reports to the OIM whom he/she shall keep informed of all matters of importance related to his/her area of responsibility.
  • The general communication regarding technical operations / matters should normally be reported to the Technical System Manager in the land organization, in the maintenance management system, and in accordance with the company's governing documentation. 
  • Conduct annual inspections themselves on behalf of the Classification Society where appropriate. Maintain their competence in this regard.
  • Exercise control over the ordering, storage and use of spare parts and consumables for all technical equipment to achieve a minimum of plant downtime at the lowest cost
  • Take into account the defined criticality of the equipment according to the maintenance management system and governing documentation.
  • Keep relevant logbooks and submit to OIM for signing.

  • The Operations Manager is responsible for the coordination between the emergency response center and the operational efforts in the field via communication with the Incident Commander.
  • Report to the emergency manager in the emergency center.
  • Owner of situational plots.
  • Responsible for coordination between the emergency response center and the operational efforts in the field via communication with the incident commander.

Qualifications:

Experience as a technical manager, maintenance manager, chief engineer or chief on an FPSO or FSU. M1 certificate according to the Norwegian Maritime Directorate.

Language: Norwegian and English
