About Blue

Blár unites innovation and sustainability to take the aquaculture industry to new heights. With our Octopus technology solution, we have developed subsea pull-down systems that improve fish health, reduce biological risk and provide greater flexibility – whether in fjords, along harsh coastal areas or offshore. Blár is organized around two complementary subsidiaries:

• Blár Technology AS: Owns technology and platform for development, protection and commercialization of the Octopus technology.
• Blár Operations AS: Owner of concessions and locations, responsible for production concepts and partnerships.

Role and purpose: 

• Chief Executive Officer (CEO) (Ref: 1001)
• Technology owner and platform company for the Octopus technology.

Areas of responsibility:

• Senior management of Blár Technology
• Strategic responsibility for the Octopus platform and technology initiatives
• Prioritizing development and commercialization
• Representation towards the board, investors, customers and partners
• Ensure close collaboration with Blár Operations so that the technology meets operational needs

Background and experience:

• Management experience from technology-driven companies, preferably in aquaculture, offshore, maritime or industry
• Proven ability to build, scale and commercialize technology platforms
• Experience with board work, investors and strategic partnerships
• Good understanding of how technology strategy delivers commercial value
• Ability to lead professional communities and external partners
• Personal drive, credibility and long-term commitment
