Commissioning System Responsible Engineer

The Commissioning System Lead – Electrical is responsible for providing direction, guidance and supervision during completion and commissioning activities related to the project.

This position is based on location Aker Verdal during commissioning

Responsibility

• System lead electro for the Fixed Facilities Alliance (FFA). 

Description of role

•  Lead role for ensuring completions and commissioning requirements of all FFA projects, carried out safely, efficiently, and ensure they meet all our clients' project and operational requirements. Including verification and assurance. 
• Be part of the site team in connection with necessary preparations, check-out and power-up (FSE). 
• Be responsible in connection with preparations work and energizing temporary equipment, eg, temporary generators. 
• Be responsible for establishing and verifying the LUN for all EIT equipment, with subsequent activation and check-out of electrical equipment ahead of dynamic commissioning. 
• Be responsible for the overall status of all electrical equipment such as switchboards, incomers, MCC, starters, etc. 
• Be part of the commissioning certification and handover process for ensuring safe and efficient handover to Operations upon completion of commissioning.  

Organization / Leadership

• Provide leadership and direction to the Commissioning SAS Control team and ensure that a high level of focus is maintained on health, safety and the environment to achieve our client's expectations. 
• Provision of commissioning support to project as required including ensuring sufficient manning according to project needs. 
• When required act as deputy for the site commissioning EICT lead during the commissioning phases. 

 Qualification requirements

Education

• BSc. Or MSc in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience. 
• Experience from big operations in Norway is of great benefit. 

 Experience

• Track record of engineering competence and delivery in the Oil & Gas industry and able to demonstrate effective project management skills 
• Familiarity with planning tools, works management systems and document management systems 
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience 
• Knowledge of the products from the main supplier of electrical equipment.  
• Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning technicians.
