Introduction
On behalf of our client, an operator in the oil and gas sector, we are looking for a Contract Lead in the IT Procurement category.
IT Procurement consists of two departments, both are part of Digital Technologies and Data sector: Enterprise Digital who collaborates with TDI Enterprise Digital, meaning all IT technology, architecture and big consultancy houses, and IT Renewables, Oil & Gas, which collaborates with TDI Oil & Gas and TDI Renewables & Low Carbon, meaning subsurface, hardware and data management. You will most likely be assigned to the Enterprise Digital department.
You will be responsible for contract establishment and contract management within corporate software, corporate infrastructure and hardware or within business specific software. You will align and coordinate involvement from other relevant departments (eg, technical, legal, SSU, stakeholders etc.) and negotiate terms with suppliers.
Tasks & Responsibilities
A Contract Lead is responsible for the Company's procurement activities related to establishing and managing agreements. They also hold the mandate to legally commit the Company to suppliers.
Here you will take on strategic procurement responsibilities and challenging tasks, through:
- Lead contract inquiry processes (strategy, inquiry, evaluation, negotiation)
- Implement and operationalize new agreements, Framework agreements, project specific contracts and call offs
- Shape the future global contract portfolio through segment strategies together with business line and suppliers
- Identify business cases and drive change in contract relationships to maximize value for the company
- Ensure contract compliance, identify, and manage risk (SSU, commercial, financial, local requirements)
- Stakeholder management in relevant business line together with Company Representative (CR) and Contract Owner (CO)
- Contribute to correct and optimal use of agreements in collaboration with Company Representative, including supporting the business line
Required qualifications and experience
- Relevant Bachelor's degree AND minimum 8 years' experience, OR relevant master's degree AND minimum 5 years' experience.
- You are performance driven, have a strong interest in commercial aspects, and are cost-conscious.
- You have a high level of professional and personal integrity.
- You are interested in technology and development of this.
- You are flexible and easier to explore solutions and new ways of working.
This is a 1-year contract with possibilities for extension, and our client would like the right candidate to start ASAP.
