Electrical engineer

Introduction

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an electrical design engineer to assist with the client's energy transition project.

In this role, you will be responsible for advanced system design, developing new applications for technology integration in new markets, as well as solving complex problems and delivering innovative solutions to design challenges.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Power system design
• System analyses
• Integration with existing infrastructure
• Specification of main electrical equipment and delivery follow-up
• Design validation and simulation
• Functional testing

Required qualifications 

• PhD, master or bachelor in relevant fields
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from oil and gas projects.
• FSE high and low voltage including first aid, and EX course (6-8 hours e-learning course). If the candidate does not have this at the start of the assignment, he/she must be willing to take these courses before commencement. 
• Experience in one or more of the following main areas: Electronic analysis tools, e.g. Paladin Designbase and DIgSILENT Powerfactory
• Experience in producing governance documents, e.g. philosophy SLD, and functional specifications. etc.
• Knowledge of Legal and technical requirements
• Experience with simulation and power automation

The position can be worked from Stavanger, Haugesund or Bergen. The client wants to start immediately, and the duration is 2 years from the start date of the assignment.
