Hydrocarbon Management Engineer GLBA

We are currently seeking a Hydrocarbon Management Engineer consultant. This position will ensure the comprehensive implementation, operationalization and operation of GLBA across the company's operated fields. The role combines operational responsibility in the operations phase with leading contributions in implementation and improvement cycles, and will be a key link between assets, Hydrocarbon Management, Midstream and digital environments. This position provides high impact and visibility across the organization.

Job duties:

  • Overall responsibility for operationalization and compliance with GLBA across the company's operated assets.
  • Establish and further develop standardized practices for GLBA in operation, including roles, work processes and reporting.
  • Operational follow-up of GLBA in the operational phase.
  • Contribute heavily in the implementation of GLBA in digital solutions in close collaboration with IT and the project environment.
  • Ensure correct establishment and follow-up of Gas Lifting Accounts, balances and reporting to shippers and partners.
  • Provide professional support and advice to assets on issues related to GLBA, gas lifting and balancing.
  • Contribute to dialogue with partners, Gassco and internal stakeholders where GLBA matters are affected.
  • Identify areas of improvement, risks and needs for automation within the GLBA area.
  • Contribute to competency building and shared understanding of GLBA in the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Higher education in engineering, economics, energy or equivalent.
  • Experience in hydrocarbon management, allocation, gas lifting or commercial agreements.
  • Good understanding of GLBA and related reporting and balancing mechanisms.
  • Experience with or interest in digital operationalization of agreements and processes.
  • Ability to work structured, independently and across disciplines and assets.
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, spoken and written.
  • Clear understanding of roles and a high degree of accountability.
  • Ability to see the whole and connections across assets and value chains.
  • Comfortable taking a central professional role at the interface between operations, agreements and digitalization.
  • Solution-oriented and improvement-driven.
