ISO Engineer

We are looking for an ISO Engineering Consultant for a long-term assignment with an operator. 

Job duties:

  • Ensure that technical integrity related to surface and insulation on their respective asset(s) is effectively planned, managed and implemented in terms of time and cost, with the goal of safe operation and optimal production.
  • Ensure coordination of the Insulation, Scaffolding and Surface (ISO) activity set and efficient utilization of ISO resources.
  • Improve digital tools and frameworks related to the field.
  • Support maintenance and project teams with professional expertise within the discipline.
  • Take necessary measures to establish new working methods.
  • Prepare handover from the project organization. Ensure involvement and quality in the handover to operations.
  • Establish detailed knowledge within the subject area. This may include shipyard visits, and some travel is therefore expected.
  • Participate in government verifications if necessary.
  • Prepare budget according to budget management model.
  • Perform the role of Technical Manager (TFA) for ISO in asset.
  • Overall responsibility for planning ISO activities within defined operating area.
  • Responsible for ensuring that ISO activities are reported to the asset activity plan.
  • Attract and postpone jobs in dialogue with integrity engineer.
  • Interact with other relevant disciplines in the planning process.
  • Coordinate and align orders from other disciplines where additional personnel are needed.
  • Follow up on ISO deliveries offshore.
  • Ensure that insulation and surface work is carried out according to plan, follow up on deadlines and initiate non-conformance handling when necessary.
  • Approve personnel qualifications for planned ISO activities.
  • Follow up on progress and report deviations.
  • Ensure processing of proposed changes to agreed assignments.
  • Follow-up of time spent, materials, equipment and costs.
  • Warranty claims, initiate and follow up.
  • Follow-up of Synergy matters related to ISO.
  • Contribute professional discipline support within ISO to the rest of the organization.
  • Monitor relevant KPIs within the area of responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • Master/Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline (Materials, Chemistry), possibly a professional certificate in a relevant discipline and documented long/relevant experience with planning/management of ISO activities.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
