Power automation engineer

Introduction

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an engineer in power automation who can contribute to the client's progress in the energy transition.

In this role, you will be responsible for advanced system design, developing new applications for technology integration in new markets, as well as solving complex problems and delivering innovative solutions to design challenges.

Responsibilities and tasks

• Design of power distribution control systems
• Participation in network and cybersecurity design
• Integration with existing infrastructure
• Specification and follow-up of supplier delivery
• Design validation and simulation
• Functional testing

Required qualifications

• PhD, master or bachelor in relevant fields
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from the oil and gas sector
• Experience in one or more of the following main areas: Production of governing documents, e.g. topology, functional spec., SCD and C&E
• Knowledge of legal and technical requirements
• Experience with power system simulation and design
• FSE high and low voltage including first aid, as well as EX course (e-learning course, 6-8 hours basic EX course)

The position can be worked from Stavanger, Haugesund or Bergen. The client wants to start immediately, and the duration is 2 years from the start date of the assignment.
