About Blue
Blár unites innovation and sustainability to take the aquaculture industry to new heights. With our Octopus technology solution, we have developed subsea pull-down systems that improve fish health, reduce biological risk and provide greater flexibility – whether in fjords, along harsh coastal areas or offshore. Blár is organized around two complementary subsidiaries:
- Blár Technology AS: Owns technology and platform for development, protection and commercialization of the Octopus technology.
- Blár Operations AS: Owner of concessions and locations, responsible for production concepts and partnerships.

Role: Head of Commercial Operations and Partnerships – Blár Operations
Areas of responsibility:
- Develop and follow up on collaboration models with existing fish farming actors
- Establish joint projects, co-ownership and production partnerships
- Overall planning of production, logistics and operations
- Coordinate external operators and service providers
- Ensure that commercial agreements are operationally feasible
- Responsibility for risk management and emergency planning
- Ongoing dialogue with Blár Technology to feed operational learning back into technology and strategy
Background and experience:
- Experience from commercial operations in aquaculture or related industries
- Documented experience with establishing and following up on partnerships or joint projects
- Good understanding of production planning, logistics and operational coordination
- Experience with coordinating external operators and service providers
- Ability to ensure that commercial agreements are operationally feasible
- Results-oriented with strong execution skills
