About Blue

Blár unites innovation and sustainability to take the aquaculture industry to new heights. With our Octopus technology solution, we have developed subsea pull-down systems that improve fish health, reduce biological risk and provide greater flexibility – whether in fjords, along harsh coastal areas or offshore. Blár is organized around two complementary subsidiaries:

• Blár Technology AS: Owns technology and platform for development, protection and commercialization of the Octopus technology.
• Blár Operations AS: Owner of concessions and locations, responsible for production concepts and partnerships.

Role: Head of Commercial Operations and Partnerships – Blár Operations

Areas of responsibility:

• Develop and follow up on collaboration models with existing fish farming actors
• Establish joint projects, co-ownership and production partnerships
• Overall planning of production, logistics and operations
• Coordinate external operators and service providers
• Ensure that commercial agreements are operationally feasible
• Responsibility for risk management and emergency planning
• Ongoing dialogue with Blár Technology to feed operational learning back into technology and strategy

Background and experience:

• Experience from commercial operations in aquaculture or related industries
• Documented experience with establishing and following up on partnerships or joint projects
• Good understanding of production planning, logistics and operational coordination
• Experience with coordinating external operators and service providers
• Ability to ensure that commercial agreements are operationally feasible
• Results-oriented with strong execution skills
