About Blue

Blár unites innovation and sustainability to take the aquaculture industry to new heights. With our Octopus technology solution, we have developed subsea pull-down systems that improve fish health, reduce biological risk and provide greater flexibility – whether in fjords, along harsh coastal areas or offshore. Blár is organized around two complementary subsidiaries:

• Blár Technology AS: Owns technology and platform for development, protection and commercialization of the Octopus technology.
• Blár Operations AS: Owner of concessions and locations, responsible for production concepts and partnerships.

Role: Manager of Locations and Site Development – Blár Operations (Ref. 2003)

Areas of responsibility:

• Development, approval and management of fish farming sites
• Dialogue with municipalities, counties and local stakeholders
• Assessment of exposed and offshore locations
• Coordination with technological and commercial partners

Background and experience:

• Experience with site development, spatial planning or site management
• Documented experience with approval and development of aquaculture or maritime sites
• Good management skills vis-à-vis municipalities and regional actors
• Advantage with experience from assessing exposed or offshore locations
• Ability to work closely with technical and commercial teams
• High level of commitment and ability to execute
