With our Octopus technology solution, we have developed subsea pull-down systems that improve fish health, reduce biological risk and provide greater flexibility – whether in fjords, along harsh coastal areas or offshore. Blár is organized around two complementary subsidiaries:

  • Blár Technology AS: Owns technology and platform for development, protection and commercialization of the Octopus technology.
  • Blár Operations AS: Owner of concessions and locations, responsible for production concepts and partnerships.

Role: Head of Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations and Licensing – Blár Technology (Ref. 1005)

Areas of responsibility:

  • Overall responsibility for sales and marketing of the Octopus platform
  • Development and follow-up of licensing, royalty and commercial models
  • Drive sales processes, customer dialogue and commercial negotiations
  • Lead market positioning and introduction to the market
  • Support contract structures in collaboration with legal and technical teams
  • Ensuring long-term value creation from technology
  • Coordinate commercial activities with strategic partners and suppliers
  • Collaboration with CTO on IP, technology positioning and product strategy
  • Collaboration with Head of Partnerships and Suppliers on delivery and commercial coordination

Background and experience:

  • Experience from sales, marketing or commercial roles in technology companies
  • Documented experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies
  • Experience with licensing models, royalty structures or technology-based commercial models
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with complex commercial processes
  • Ability to position advanced technology towards customers and partners
  • Great personal drive, market orientation and ability to execute
