MC Coordinator/Shift Lead

Overall goal:

The MC Coordinator / Shift Manager's main objective is to ensure that mechanical completion (MC) is carried out in accordance with the project's requirements for HSE, quality, progress and cost. The role is crucial in the transition from construction to commissioning and operation, and shall facilitate a safe, seamless and efficient handover of systems and equipment in the project. At the same time, the position entails responsibility for coordinating MC processes on Site, motivating the team and contributing to continuous operation through shift work

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Plan, coordinate and follow up on MC activities according to the project progress plan and system structure.
  • Coordinate mechanical completion processes, especially within Electrical and HVAC, on Site.
  • Ensure that MC packages are completed, documented and delivered according to project requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the commissioning team for seamless transition from MC to commissioning.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance and use of MC processes and procedures in PIMS or similar system.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, risk assessments and technical clarifications.
  • Report status and deviations to MC Lead and project management.
  • Ensure that all necessary MC certificates and documentation are available and correct.
  • Contribute to maintaining a motivated and positive work culture among team members.
  • Work shifts to ensure continuous operational coverage on Site.

Qualifications:

  • Technical college or engineering education in mechanical, electrical, automation or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience from MC work in oil and gas projects, preferably offshore and/or Power from Shore.
  • Experience with MC processes, project coordination and use of completion tools such as PIMS.
  • Good understanding of interdisciplinary work, system-oriented completion and relevant standards (NORSOK, ATEX, IEC, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the PIMS system and experience with project hotels is an advantage.
  • Leadership experience and ability to motivate the team.

Contract period: September 2025 (by agreement) – 31.12.2025

Work location: The position is intended to be located either in Børdalen or Årskog where there will be a rotation scheme (13/15).
