Project Completion Engineer

Job duties:

  • Participate in MC walk-downs, record completion work and clarify technical issues.
  • Ensure that all documentation for mechanical completion is complete and correct.
  • Ensure Red Line Mark-Up includes P&IDs and SCDs.
  • Be responsible for electrical, instrumentation, automation and telecommunications.
  • Issue completion certificates and carry out timely handover to commissioning.
  • Be a liaison between MC and the engineering organization.
  • Create good relationships between team members and suppliers.
  • Assess HSE risks related to own tasks and follow necessary measures.
  • Support engineering, construction and suppliers in MC-related matters.
  • Verify and approve MC documentation from suppliers and update relevant systems.
  • Implement, follow up and report MC activities according to plan.
  • Achieve the project's HSE goals within your own area of responsibility.
  • Be familiar with applicable legal requirements, rules and regulations.
  • Contribute to cost and time improvements in the project.
  • Identify and follow up on discrepancies between design and installation within the relevant field.
  • Follow up and sign outstanding punch lists.
  • Report progress and challenges to the MC manager.
  • Ensure that all necessary information is entered into relevant systems.
  • Assist commissioning when relevant.

Qualifications:

  • Technical college or engineering education in mechanical, electrical, automation or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience from MC work in oil and gas projects, preferably offshore and/or Power from Shore.
  • Experience with MC processes, project coordination and use of completion tools such as PIMS.
  • Good understanding of interdisciplinary work, system-oriented completion and relevant standards (NORSOK, ATEX, IEC, etc.)
  • Structured, solution-oriented and proactive with high execution ability.
  • Good collaboration skills and ability to communicate effectively across disciplines and organizations.
  • Motivating and inspiring, with a strong focus on creating a positive team spirit.
  • Confident in the role of coordinator, driver and leader.
  • HSE focused and quality conscious.

Working hours:

  • The position is intended for Børdalen where there will be a rotation scheme (13/15).
