Senior Commissioning Engineer SAS

Main tasks:
Lead role for ensuring completions and commissioning’s requirements of all Company’s projects is carried out safely, and ensure they meet all Company’s project and operational requirements, including verification and assurance.
- Responsible for implementing the commissioning certification and handover process according to the Project Completion Strategy.
- Accountable for ensuring the safe and efficient handover of plant and equipment to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Commissioning SAS & ICT Team and ensure that an important level of focus is maintained on health, safety and the environment to achieve expectations.
- Provision of commissioning support to project as required including ensuring sufficient manning according to project needs.
- When required act as the site Commissioning Authority during the commissioning phases
- Contribute to the preparation of project forecasts, schedules, costs estimate associated with the commissioning scope for all relevant SAS Systems
- Contribute and advice related to SAS input to overall Completion strategy and planning.
- Manage contractors and other resources providing services and supplying materials Software or equipment for SAS.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Commissioning Team, coordinating the appropriate Commissioning discipline resources with the skills to:
- Witness contractor/supplier tests as necessary (FAT/SAT).
- Develop, review, and implement commissioning procedures.
- Implement the commissioning scope.
- Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operations.
- As required; set up and co-ordinate commissioning reviews, covering all disciplines, to meet Company’s expectations.
- Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews when necessary.
- 1:1 conversation within team members on a regular basis
Qualifications:
- BSc. Or MSc in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
- Record of accomplishment of engineering and commissioning competence and delivery in the Oil & Gas industry and able to demonstrate effective project management skills
- Ability to engage and lead a team of professionals
- Familiarity with planning tools, works management systems and document management systems
- Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn from others and work with minimal direction.
- Actively seeks out knowledge and best practice, related to own area of contribution.
- Strong planning and organizing ability.
- Actively engages and respects the contributions of others, in face to face or virtual meetings.
- Looks for ways to do things better, faster, more efficiently according to LEAN principles.
- Focuses effort and prioritizes work to deliver business value.
- Good knowledge of the English and Norwegian languages (both written and verbal).
- Use SAFER as an inspiration / follower in daily work.
