Introduction
Our client's Supply Chain team is growing, and they need new competent buyers to work in their multidisciplinary environment. This is a 2-year assignment, located in Bergen.
Typical tasks will be:
- Create purchasing strategies
- Issue request documents for major equipment and services in close collaboration with the engineer
- Commercial assessment of offers
- Issue purchase orders and contracts for complex procurement packages
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure delivery within the right time frame, cost and quality
- Professional variation management
- Management of risks, discrepancies and invoices
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company guidelines, work instructions and procedures
- Be the single point of contact for commercial discussions with suppliers
It is considered a natural part of the job to always work on improvements, reduce internal and external risks and costs, and improve delivery quality and collaboration.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, Engineering and similar
- Relevant experience in purchasing from the oil industry is a requirement, at least 5 years.
- Fluent Norwegian and English is a requirement.
- You also need to have a commercial mindset and a good understanding of contracts.
- You have good collaboration skills and are good at mobilizing multiple parties to get projects done.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP ERP is beneficial.
