This position is fully mobile with base location Stord and offshore. The position will be rotational.
The Commissioning System Lead – SAS & ICT is responsible for providing direction, guidance and supervision during preparation and execution of Completion and Commissioning activities related to the delivery and integration and is considered the overall responsible for all Safety Automation Systems.
Roles, Responsibilities and tasks:
- Lead role for ensuring completions and commissioning's requirements of projects are carried out safely, efficiently and ensure they meet all project and operational requirements, including verification and assurance.
- Responsible for implementing the commissioning certification and handover process according to the Project Completion Strategy.
- Accountable for ensuring the safe and efficient handover of plant and equipment to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Commissioning SAS & ICT Team and ensure that an important level of focus is maintained on health, safety and the environment to achieve expectations.
- Provision of commissioning support to project as required including ensuring sufficient manning according to project needs.
- When required act as the site Commissioning Authority during the commissioning phases
- Contribute to the preparation of project forecasts, schedules, costs estimate associated with the commissioning scope for all relevant SAS Systems
- Contribute and advice related to SAS & ICT input to overall Completion strategy and planning
- Manage contractors and other resources providing services and supplying materials Software or equipment for SAS & ICT Commissioning.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Commissioning Team, coordinating the appropriate Commissioning discipline resources with the skills to:
- Witness contractor/supplier tests as necessary (FAT/SAT)
- Develop, review, and implement commissioning procedures.
- Implement the commissioning scope.
- Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operations.
- As required; set up and co-ordinate commissioning reviews, covering all disciplines, to meet expectations.
- Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews when necessary
- Establish completions and handover strategy and documentation early in all projects to support efficient commissioning and handover to operations at the end of the project.
Qualification requirements
- BSc. Or MSc in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
- Experience from Valhall's operations is of great benefit.
- Record of accomplishment of engineering and commissioning competence and delivery in the Oil & Gas industry and able to demonstrate effective project management skills
- Ability to engage and lead a team of professionals
- Familiarity with planning tools, works management systems and document management systems
- Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn from others and work with minimal direction.
- Actively seeks out knowledge and best practice, related to own area of contribution.
- Strong planning and organizing ability.
- Actively engages and respects the contributions of others, in face to face or virtual meetings.
