Our client is strengthening its subsea expertise and is seeking an experienced Senior Subsea Engineer with responsibility for following up on the integrity, maintenance, inspection and operation of subsea facilities. The role will collaborate across fields, projects, professional environments and suppliers.
Job duties:
- Risk assessment and risk management related to subsea equipment and interface systems
- Managing subsea system barriers and equipment health
- Predictable use of incident management (Synergy), risk management (PIMS) and work management systems (SAP)
- Subsea system barrier and equipment health monitoring (SIGMA)
- Ensure optimal production efficiency, meeting or exceeding Asset/Subsea targets. This is achieved by optimizing installed production capacity and availability of subsea equipment.
- Ownership of Subsea data and technical documentation (LCI)
- Effective management of maintenance and inspection programs
- Ensure early and systematic input into asset requirements for development and decommissioning projects
- Support successful delivery of projects from concept to completion, ensuring operational readiness
- Manage subsea operational spares. Ensure strategy aligns with asset objectives to maintain safe operations while achieving production efficiency
- Communication to asset management about relevant risks and vulnerabilities
Qualifications:
- Relevant higher technical education in engineering, or extensive directly relevant experience
- Solid experience with subsea and closely related technology
- Experience from design, project, operation, maintenance or life cycle monitoring of subsea facilities
- Experience with technical requirements, system interfaces and supplier follow-up
- Experience with technical assessments, problem solving and preparation of decision-making bases
- Good understanding of the relationship between product selection, reliability, maintenance and life cycle cost
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly in English
It is an advantage if you also have experience with:
- Operating company, Norwegian shelf or similar offshore activity
- RCA, reliability engineering and technical integrity management
- Obsolescence, spare parts, repair strategies and life extension
- Standardization and portfolio management across fields or projects
- Improvement and digitalization projects
- Norwegian or other Scandinavian language
