Senior Telecom Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior/Principal Telecom Engineer consultant with experience in offshore-related projects.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Detailed design of telecom tasks.
• Participate in studies.
• Estimate telecom tasks.
• Prepare job packages and follow up on deliveries.
• Discipline check of design basis (studies, drawings, and job packages).
• Follow up with suppliers, package responsibility.
• Participate in pre-test/FAT at the supplier.
• Participate in inspections onshore/offshore.
• Able to take on training responsibilities for new engineers.
• Perform as-built.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecom/Instrumentation/Automation Hardware. Alternatively, a Technical College degree with extensive experience in Engineering projects on the Norwegian Oil and Gas industry.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in offshore-related projects.
• Strong experience in engineering design.
• Proficiency in Norwegian, both spoken and written. Alternatively, strong English skills, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of standards such as ATEX, NORSOK, STID, ProCoSys, and ARIS.
• Valid offshore and health certificate.
• Basic EX course – Minimum 6-8 hours online or 22,5 hours classroom.
• FSE high- and low voltage with first-aid.
• Extensive knowledge of modifications on operational offshore installations (VEM/M&M).
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation used in the oil industry.
• Good knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.

Contract period: 02.02.2026(after agreement)-31.12.2027
