Subsea materials engineer

Introduction

On behalf of a client, we are seeking a subsea material engineer for a subsea bypass project. 

Responsibilities and tasks

The project is in the procurement phase now, where there is a need for document review of specifications received from the Marine contractor. There is also a need for Materials support through technical meetings with the Marine contractor, meetings with subcontractors, visits and possibly follow-up as needed at fabrication sites etc. as needed. 

Required qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Marine and Subsea technology with a material field
• Minimum 12 years of experience in materials engineering on subsea installations in Norwegian oil and gas projects.
• Expertise in different metal alloys, welding procedures, flexible/rigid pipes, Spools, Sealign flanges, Morgrips, PLET for SIPS pipes. 
• Competence in SAP and Microsoft office. 
• Fluent Norwegian and English is a requirement. 

This is an assignment that will last until 2025, with the possibility of extension, and the customer wants an immediate start.
