Technical Safety Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

Work as a system responsible engineer within Active Fire Protection (AFP) with the following tasks:

  • System design with all it entails,
  • PIPENET calculation steady state
  • Create/update P&IDs 
  • Interface responsibility on a multidiscipline level. 
  • Knowledge within PIPENET transient is preferred 
  • Responsible for ensuring that work is performed according to relevant instructions/procedures and in accordance with the contract
  • Responsible for following the project schedule 

Required Education:

  • Master's/Bachelor's degree preferred within mechanical/safety engineering

Required Work Experience:

  • My. 10 years working experience with the work tasks listed above
  • Detailed knowledge of firewater pump. Preferred knowledge with NFPA 20
  • Preferred knowledge within SIL, control and automation within the system.
  • Detailed knowledge of national regulations and standards (TR, NORSOK, etc.)

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and thoroughly as well as ability to work in a team 
  • Multidisciplinary understanding 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Have a high loyalty to deadlines and quality requirements 
  • Be proactive, seeking information on a multidiscipline level and share information with the team
  • Communicate well in English – Both orally and in writing
