Work tasks
Be a driving force for improvement in the external environment and sustainable development
Be up to date on regulatory requirements, internal requirements and relevant standards that deal with the external environment Assist the operations line at the LNG facility in following up on the current permit for activities under the Pollution Act and permit for emissions to air subject to quotas.
Prepare applications and report environmental data to relevant authorities
Stay up to date on operating conditions and contribute to more environmentally and energy efficient operations, as well as work with ambitious climate goals for the LNG facility.
Support and advise the operation in relation to environmental and risk assessments
Contribute to an overview of the external environmental risk picture, and be a driving force for environmental risk to be handled as part of integrated risk management
Create a work description for environmental monitoring and ensure that it is carried out according to the plan.
Preserve biodiversity on and around the LNG plant
Participate in dedicated improvement projects related to the external environment
Participate in verifications and follow-up activities related to the external environment
This position will have an extra focus on emissions to air and monitoring of emissions that fall under the EU's emissions trading system (EU ETS).
Working hours
0800 – 1600
Desired qualifications
We are primarily looking for candidates with a master's degree or higher.
Relevant experience (including operational experience from onshore facilities) may compensate for formal education. Candidates with expertise and experience in monitoring emissions to air, including the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), are of particular interest. Must be fluent in Norwegian (spoken and written).
