Commercial Finance Analyst

Introduction

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to help our client strengthen their value chain. In this role, you will use your understanding of the natural gas markets and analytical abilities to both ensure compliance and follow-up complex contracts. 

You will also have the opportunity to grow and take on more responsibilities as you progress through your assignment. 

Tasks and responsibilities

• Assure commercial flow and value creation through financial follow up of complex contracts for the purchase and sale of Natural Gas.
• Operate digital contract configuration. 
• Perform incoming and outgoing invoicing. 
• Deliver on financial and non-financial regulatory reporting for countries with operations.
• Drive and ensure compliance processes (SOX). 
• Perform or provide input to accruals and financial reconciliations. 
• Work with continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Be a part of the digital transformation of Dealhandling Gas. 

Desired qualifications and experience

• Higher education in finance, business, etc. is beneficial, but experience can compensate.
• Accounting, finance, and SOX compliance experience from the oil and gas sector is a requirement, herein minimum 4 years.
• You have an analytical mindset, structured and with an ability to focus on details.
• Strong Excel base and solid proficiency in O365 tools, preferably knowledge of PowerBI and automation. 
• Knowledge of ETRM and Power Platforms systems are beneficial. 

This is a 1-year contract based in Stavanger, with desired start-date in september.
