- Title: Senior Contract Professional

Introduction
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Senior Contract Professional with experience from Norwegian oil and gas projects.
The Contract Professional is responsible for an effective deployment and ongoing execution of the procurement processes in the Decommissioning Portfolio. Furthermore, the Contract professional will be responsible for liaising with the respective SCM Professionals and buyers to achieve seamless cooperation and deliverables.
Key responsibilities and main tasks
- Ensure compliance with the SCM Common Processes and Category Management processes in support of the assigned project(s).
- Act as single point of contact towards suppliers, internal key stakeholders and license partners across business units on all contract and procurement-related matters in projects, to ensure alignment of objectives and build a clear understanding of business requirements for third party goods and services.
- Lead the development of contract strategies, including Overall Procurement Strategy (OPS), plans and priorities, and identify opportunities to leverage value or mitigate risk due to changes in markets.
- Manage sourcing activities, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs etc. Manage contract award, and contract execution, ensuring the appropriate business involvement at all stages of the process.
- Contribute to improvement on contractual terms and conditions, involving legal when required. Lead contract negotiations, employing best practice in contracting methods to manage risk and maximize value.
- Provide input to the Category Strategy as needed.
Qualification requirements
Education
- MSc, MBA or similar recognized engineering/economics/law
- Relevant experience may compensate for formal education
Experience
- Skilled professional with broad exposure to full life cycle projects in the industry
- Experience from decommissioning projects, and familiar with T&I / Heavy Lift contracts
- Tender/SCM/Subcontracting experience
- Contract drafting and administration experience
- Experience from both operator- and contractor project positions considered an advantage
Personal characteristics
- This role requires a good business understanding, keen eye for details, ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to satisfactorily resolve issues between customers, suppliers and partners.
- You are analytical and have a good commercial understanding, as well as good negotiation skills.
- You are a self-starter with a strong delivery focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- You have strong and effective communication skills. Willing to receive/give constructive feedback.
- You are flexible and adaptable to handle changing priorities and new tasks
- You are an open minded team player with ability to influence, share knowledge and interface with a wide range of teams/disciplines/strategic partners
- You are able to recognize and solve problems, make decisions and drive progress
