Concept Development Engineer

Oslo or Stavanger

Our highly competent staff in Concept Development has the responsibility to catalyse business opportunities and mature projects from “Prepare for Project Entry” (pre-DG0) to Concept Select (pre-DG2). It is in these early stages different concepts are identified and evaluated. And it is in these stages you really can impact the value of a project. Our tasks span from initiatives within CO2 reduction, topside optimization, future operations, development of hydrocarbon project and CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage).

Now we are looking for an experienced Concept Development Engineer. The responsibilities may differ based on the Engineer’s competences, with the aim to always optimize the use of competences in the Company.

Relevant responsibilities:

• Contribute with concept development experience and multi discipline experience
• Cooperate with relevant partners and other departments within the Company to ensure the right studies and work are initiated and followed up
• In close cooperation with defined managers, establish the SoW by using our concept development methodology
• Develop Basis of Design and Functional Requirements
• Maintain risks and opportunities register
• Maintain stakeholder management plan
• Arrange and contribute in workshops, meetings and day to day tasks together with the rest of the project team in accordance with our concept development methodology
• Contribute to high quality documentation of the work conducted in the relevant stage/relevant project including decision gate material
• Ensure that processes and deliveries are in compliance with Company’s requirements and relevant Asset requirements
• Ensure that the deliverables are compliant, reliable and fully integrated with relevant systems
• Ensure that the deliverables conforms to safe, cost effective and competitive concepts which comply to Company Business Management System and other relevant codes and standards

Relevant competences

• Minimum B.Sc. in engineering or equivalent
• Domain expertise within one of the key disciplines related to oil&gas (facilities, process systems, subsurface, D&W, operations etc.)
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a facility engineer or project engineer in front end/concept development
• Minimum 5 years of experience from hydrocarbon projects
• Good understanding of how projects are executed all the way from pre-appraise to DG4 -> preferably with special knowledge within the early concept/layout development phase (pre appraise, appraise and select)
• Multidiscipline understanding
