Senior Automation Engineer

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning and execution of SAS modifications
• Technical support resolving direct and short-term actions
• Ensure up-to-date LCI (Life Cycle Information)
• Ensure close cooperation with critical suppliers and contractors
• Perform condition monitoring analysis when required
• Perform defect elimination, support Root cause Failure Analysis for production losses and identify production vulnerabilities
• Cost management of the agreed budgets for assigned activities
• Participate in community for automation engineers, including Control & Automation team meetings

Qualifications:

• Master of Science or similar in Automation, preferably with specialization in Control systems
• Minimum 5 years of experience with design and operation of SAS systems, preferably within the oil & gas industry
• Experience and understanding related to all relevant discipline standards and guidelines
• Previous experience with ABB control systems is a requirement
• Systematic, structured and reliable in the performance of daily tasks
• Dedication and a personal drive for continuous improvement
• Good communications skills in both Norwegian and English
