Senior Buyer

Introduction

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Senior Buyer to assist in a field development project.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Create procurement strategies
• Issue inquiry documents for larger equipment and services in close cooperation with engineering
• Commercial evaluation of quotations
• Issue orders and contracts of complex procurement packages
• Follow-up suppliers to secure delivery within the right timeframe, cost, and quality
• Professional variation handling
• Handling of risks, deviations and invoices
• Secure that all work is executed in accordance with company guidelines, work instructions and Procedures
• Be the single point of contact for commercial discussions with suppliers
• Continuous improvement acitivities to reduce internal and external risks, costs and to improve delivery quality and cooperations.

Required qualifications and experience 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economy, Engineering and similar
• Experience from procurement in the Norwegian oil and gas sector is required, here at least 5 years.
• A Commercial mindset & Contract understanding
• Fluent Norwegian and English is a requirement. 
• Flexible and positive with good collaboration skills.
• Structured and systematic approach. You thrive in hectic environments and are able to juggle multiple priorities.
• Microsoft Office and SAP ERP experience is a plus
• Candidates must be eligible for work in Norway.
