General Job Description
The Commissioning Instrument Engineer is part of the FFA PWP Commissioning Team and reports functionally to the Commissioning Instrument Lead. This role is responsible for planning and preparing documentation and procedures, as well as performing commissioning and testing activities on Valhall Process Wellhead Platform (PWP). The position is based at the onshore office in Stord and will be mobilized offshore when required.
Position Purpose
- Ensure completion and commissioning of PWP instrument systems in compliance with the cliens project and operational requirements, including verification and assurance.
- Prepare and ensure readiness of instrumentation systems prior to dynamic testing.
- Implement the commissioning certification and handover process in accordance with the PWP Project Completion Strategy.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of instrumentation and equipment, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Perform functional testing and troubleshoot issues during commissioning.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution.
- Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all activities
Key Responsibilities
As part of the Valhall PWP Commissioning Team, the Commissioning Engineer instrument is responsible for:
- Contribute to the preparation of project forecasts, schedules, costs estimate associated with the commissioning scope.
- Contribute and advice related to instrument testing and verification. Ensuring compliance to the client additional requirements and relevant performance standards
- Manage relevant contractors and other resources providing services and supplying materials or equipment for Instrument testing and commissioning.
- In cooperation with relevant disciplines and package teams, provide relevant knowledge and participation related to:
- Follow Up field installation ensuring correct quality and scheduled installation according to Commissioning schedule
- Develop, review, and implement instrument commissioning procedures.
- Implement the commissioning scope on site and Offshore
- Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operations.
- Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews when necessary
Qualification requirements
- BSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
- Automation Certificate
- EX Basic and Ex Maintenances Courses
- Experience from PIMS is of great benefit.
- FSE course
