Senior Solution Architect

Introduction

In pursuing a digitalization and data-driven ambition, our client is continuously developing and enhancing tools and work processes. To support this effort, they are seeking to strengthen their team of skilled Information Architects to tackle current challenges. One of their key projects is focused on moving from a document-based to a data-centric approach, defining masters of records, new data types, and creating efficient information flows between the organization, its suppliers, and modification partners.

Role Overview

Solution Architects are responsible for transforming business needs into structured information and data flows that align with the organization’s objectives. They collaborate closely with business stakeholders to design solutions and architecture frameworks that are then implemented by dedicated project teams. These architects follow established guidelines, leverage the application portfolio for cohesive information flows, and aim to simplify processes wherever possible.

Key Qualifications

The organization is looking for an experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of processes and information flows that support lifecycle management in industries such as Oil & Gas. Experience in transitioning from document-based to data-driven solutions is highly advantageous. Finding the right person is prioritized over immediate availability, so they are prepared to wait for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Overall responsibility for the technical architecture and design to ensure effective solutions within engineering data and lifecycle information management.
• Evaluate and translate business, information, and technical requirements into architectural frameworks for solutions, solution portfolios, or products.
• Define information formats and roadmaps in collaboration with suppliers and solution providers.
• Represent the organization in relevant industry arenas and initiatives focused on solution development and industrialization.
• Architect and integrate applications and systems into the broader ecosystem.
• Document architectural designs to guide solution development in line with organizational objectives.
• Ensure that development and implementation align with architectural guidelines.
• Provide consulting support for architecture decisions to ensure they align with enterprise principles and guidelines.
• Liaise with system owners, subject matter experts, product teams, and service providers to ensure solution integrity.

Required qualifications

• Min. 2 years of experience with stakeholder management, communication and deliveries involving people, processes, and technology.
• Min. 5-10 years of experience in a solution architect role with responsibility for implementation of off-the-shelf solutions.
• Experience from the oil and gas industry is required, experience within engineering data and Lifecycle management is an advantage.
• Experience with various solution blueprints, architectural patterns and principles, data modelling, data- and integration- platforms is an advantage.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
